SlackWorks incorporates farm education about many practical skills, and here’s one that everyone enjoys: making maki rolls from garden vegetables. Here is Resi, Slack Farms Intern’22, learning how to roll her first maki with our surplus Slack Allotment crop of carrots, cukes and bok choi. Sophie SFI’22 is filming, Tucker is advising. The resulting maki roll was a great success. Add a bit of battered and crisp soft shell crab and you have a genuine Southern Maryland treat that’s hard to make so easily and tastily anywhere else!
