SlackWorks brings farm workshops to our community.
For the past four years we’ve worked hard to develop farm skills narratives into teaching modules and journals so the valuable skill sets of our forbearers live on for the benefit of a new generation of young people. We call our system “low technology” farming because our tools are often simple and readily available. Low technology farming can be taught to children as well as adults………..
Our youth program and our “olders” programs are among our favorite to teach. We hope to offer more of these - and occasionally combine them to the delight of both the young and the old. Help make these valuable workshops available for one of our Farm Skills Workshops through a special Slack Farms Foundation Workshop Award. Farm skills makes people of all ages proud - and productive.
